baby eva sophia

Born November 8th (eight days past her due date!) Eva Sophia finally joined our family, all 9lbs 14oz of her! She looks just like her Papa, with tons of dark hair and voluptuous lips. So cute next to her blonde big sister. Eva is already eating and sleeping very well, which has made a HUGE difference in how quickly I'm recovering. It's so much fun to be a new mom again. I'm almost enjoying this second time better, probably because I'm much more relaxed about the whole thing now that i know what i'm doing ;) Lilykate started out fairly indifferent but in the last few days has really warmed up to the idea of having a sister, and she's turned into such a good helper. I can't wait to see them become friends and grow up together. Pardon all the photos, but I just had to share. I've been playing with my new camera (Canon 40d! the very camera you can win from the pcLayers digital scrapbooking contest!) and it's been so much fun. Such an easy camera to use and even though i'm a mediocre photographer the pictures have turned out phenomenal. I love how well it will take low light indoor photos!

Had to post my favorite Halloween photo of my little munchkin. Knowing that chances are she would forever choose to be a princess or fairy of some kind I figured I'd be a bit more out of the box while she had no choice in the matter and had a cute pink Octopus costume all ready to go. Then out of nowhere, a few weeks before Halloween she developed an incredible love and devotion to her Mickey Mouse. A gift from my friend Sue when she was born, he's practically as big as she is and she totes him with her EVERYWHERE she goes. And I mean everywhere... walks, park, zoo, grocery store, naps, bedtime... So I was lamenting that I hadn't purchased a Minnie Mouse costume (and Terry thought buying a new costume when we already had one was a bit over the top). But lucky for me my crazy (yet fabulous) friends Sue & Stace showed up with a surprise a week before Halloween... and Minnie Mouse was born, shoes and all! Lily LOVES the costume. She prances around twirling endlessly. Such a fun and memorable Halloween, it was worth going past my due date. Many thanks to Sue and Stace.
